A few winter pics from today

Some may recognise the area, Kandersteg, afraid I went in the tin top, the idea of chains on the mog and no winter tyres and signs saying chains compulsory made my mind up for me. Oh and it was minus 14 mid-day which didn't help. As a regular Elephant rally (bikes) goer even that was a bit fresh.

Ah yes...lovely. My first sight of Kandersteg was three years ago, popping out of the mountain on the train from Goppenstein. An interesting journey with the motorbike!

Thanks for sharing these beautiful photographs they bring back fond memories from 50 years ago when I went on a School trip to Interlaken and we stayed in the Hotel Schiff at Schluchsee.

Kandersteg was on the touring menu and I remember vividly seeing my first frozen BIG waterfall somewhere in the area.

I think the Black Forest area of Germany and Switzerland in general take some beating for scenery.

Your houses are so beautiful and perfectly kept.

Lovely photos and memories from staying in Kandersteg some years ago in the summer. Remember watching the Norwegian ski jump team training.
We did lots of hiking and also watching the para gliders sailing off the mountains.

Makes me want to go back!

That's reassuring to hear Bodger - condolonces with the Office and Garage though you won't be able to find a thing for months after the enforced "organisation" innocent
