Morgan Over America
A very beautiful and large badge commemorating the crossing of the American continent which is renewed periodically ...damage whatsoever so far!

I made an enquiry to Cunard last week to ascertain whether they would carry the Max to America, thought it would be a nice idea to put a few miles on the clock via some routes in the USA, unfortunately they do not carry vehicles on their Liners.

Great badge.
Dean, we did the QMII from Southampton to New York (return) and was quite magical.

There must be a freight company out there who's up for shipping the Max. I found a company willing to ship 5 x motorcycles to the east coast. Ill see if I can dig out the name for you.

Now that is interesting. As an aside, I was on the QM2 2 weeks ago and over dinner got talking about Morgan as you do. One of the passengers assured me that a Morgan was recently on display on the ship! Can't confirm it but possible - on a ship that size you could get plenty on... _________________________ A Morgan Identified Fastidious Owner

I think that Royal Caribbean have a Morgan displayed on all their ships, there are some photos somewhere on TM of one of them.

Yep. But at least one senior exec in Royal Caribbean is a Mog owner I believe... It is finding the right contact person. I have tried a number of times to try and establish from Royal Caribbean how many ships do have Morgans on board and to try and get some H4H sponsorship. In both cases I could never raise a reply . Back to Deans quest, I believe that a Morgan Group shipped their Cars over a few years ago and did Route 66. Perhaps they, or the Factory could help as they ship cars over for the Pebble Beach Concours occasionaly??

Didn't want to get into all the rigmarol of loading and unloading containers from docks and trying to marry ourselves with the car at the other end.
was hoping to drive on at Southampton and drive off in NY, then return a week later and do the reverse.

Back to Deans quest, I believe that a Morgan Group shipped their Cars over a few years ago and did Route 66. Perhaps they, or the Factory could help as they ship cars over for the Pebble Beach Concours occasionaly?? Oldbill (Dave) and ourselves were part of the Cranmog group that did Route 66 some years back. http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p82/aero8man/Aero%208%20Series%20I%20-%20Route%2066/IMGP0408.jpgDave's car is in the 4-seater in the foreground and the Aero is ours! Shipping the cars is relatively easy, but getting insurance in America is much more problematic. One of the Plus 8's was written off over there and the wrecked car had to be shipped back to the UK, as it could not be legally imported into the USA. It was an interesting trip, we took 6-weeks over it as we did many side trips, and it is certainly worth doing once! Another gratuitous photo of our Aero at the mid-point... http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p82/a...66-Half-way.jpg
