Again, for all the suspension nuts

1) Back axle of a 4/4 Sport in production, note the lowering blocks between the spring an axle and Sachs dampers

Note: the camber plates are only placed here temporarily before transfer to the build shop, they are actually shown on the wrong end of the king pin sub assembly.

I wondered if the new 4/4 bespoke had also the lowering block.

The photos were all taken in May 2012. I'm not sure if the lowering blocks are on all 4/4s including the bespokes. The car in the photo has 5" stainless steel wires which suggest it may be a bespoke, but only x4 of them (see chassis markings). I asked the chap who was working on the build what it was and he said it was a 4/4 Sport. That's as much as I can add. Others on TM who visit MMC more often may be able to clarify.

I have put a short video in Youtube about the rear axle of my Morgan Roadster 3.7 comparing right hand side with anti-tramp bar to left hand side without it. See how it works during a "normal" drive. I looked also at the torque rod.

Great stuff! Its amazing that the damper end rubber bushes manage to take up the axle wind up without binding their rods, must be so much worse with no such restraint! PJB

Seems to prove that the 3.7 really needs two anti-tramp bars, one on each side.

I agree Peter. Strange they only fitted one as surely there would be an imbalance between the two sides?

The reason for me to make this video was the old question 1 or 2 Anti-Tramp bars. After this "normal" drive-video, I wouldn't say a 2nd is really not necessary. But I am not an expert.
