A week in "North Devon" - June 2013
Starting out at The Swan at Bibury, then four nights at Lynton, and two in the Wylye Valley............. With plenty of walking.

Lovely. I have some very happy memories of riding in that area.

Too late for this years Country File comp. To be honest I don't think mine are good enough anyway, I just point and shoot. We love solitude, and North Devon gives us that in spades. Each day we only saw a handful of people out on the walks, except when we pitted for cherry pie and cream, or scones and cream. We've been to Minehead station loads, but never had time to ride the line. It's on my list though. I stood on the footplate of 53808 at Minehead - one of the surviving Fowler 7f 2-8-0's from the S&D.
