T16 new air hose
The exhaust having rotted my old hose I replace it with a 1 m length of silicone tubing said to be good for 365 deg c.
The hole in the original was underneath and I am sure the car was probably sucking in air super heated off the manifold for quite a while.
The longer hose has allowed me to collect air below the rad & it seems to make a difference.

I trust you won't pick up too much road spray in wet weather from under the front of the car. Gerry.

I know I was wondering about that too.

I know I was wondering about that too.
Many years ago 'someone' was extolling the virtue of a little water mist in the air intake?.

I've heard about the water "mist" too. I think I read it on GoMoG...looks like a good fix.

It was tried in the 1970s when water/mist injection into the air intake was all the rage. Eventually it was decided that it made no difference other than rot the inside of the engine.

My brother in law had a water mist kit on his Ford consul.
I dodn't think it will be bad news in spray but a flood might be so I might move it or cut it back.
