Twinkletoes and his new 4/4
Some photos of Graham picking up his 4/4 from Brands Hatch Motors today...the final photo explains his new nickname! My first time down at BHM and I was impressed. I liked the fact that people just seemed to be turning up for a cup of coffee and a chat...all very welcoming. I'd be there every week-end if I lived close by...just to chat to Sarah SORRY Claire! Shame the weather was so damp...Graham gamely drove off keeping up the tradition of not using a hood....actually I think that he really has no idea how to put one up if he was honest about it! L44FOR is lovely....great paint job and nice grey interior in great condition. Sounds lovely and seems to go pretty well too....as usual I used Graham as my satnav and followed him all the way back! Just getting in practice for next years Cotswold Rally Graham I'll leave Graham to explain his sudden change in foot fashion!

Car looks great Graham, I'm sure you'll have a long and enjoyable relationship Those shoes look interesting, tell us more please. BHM are my local dealer and they are always very welcoming, first thing they always ask is if you want a cuppa, a really friendly bunch

PS. On our way to have a look at what Bell and Colvill had to offer, I saw a rather tasty dark grey metallic Aeromax filling up at the junction of the A24/A246 just south of Leatherhead....anyone from here by any chance?

Great colour, Graham! I've done a couple of track days and a coffee morning with BHM and I have to agree that they are all a good gang. Just sorting out my documents and route for my French foray next week. Early start Tuesday to check into Dover ferry by 7 am- at least I'll save the toll fee at the Dartford bridge! Gerry

Twinkletoes, my foot... Shoes, well, it's reasonably simple. Those heavyish boots are my normal everyday footwear, come work / play / walking etc. Good ankle support and I could even drive my '76 car in them - lots of footwell space. These modern('ish) Mogs don't have the same space down at pedal level, they don't have it at knee level either, so I needed some narrow driving footwear (despite having blinking wide feet) so as not to press 2 pedals concurently. Pal of mine at Prescott (a competitor and fellow radio amateur) suggested some competition footwear, and then quickly changed that to Karting shoes/boots as I wouldn't need fireproof versions, they'd be a lot cheaper. Lo & behold Demon Tweaks had these OMP boots in stock - I still have reasonable ankle support and they remained comfortable for the several hour trip home, including a stroll around B&C's forecourt and across Reading services. A definite winner for me. I'd still need the heavier boots for normal wear away from driving. Anyway - lots of other comments, to do with orange, origins of my 1.8 (1796cc) engine etc. All good craic. Seriously considering a trip back to BHM next Saturday for tea and bacon roll Cheltenham / Cleeve Vale Lions Keith - I will post a link to 2014 event and contents of an email re: 2013 shortly. It's a weekend event, mainly the Sunday "Classics on the Hill" at Prescott. But on the Saturday there is an approx 60mile tour around the Cotswolds, different route each year, starting/ending at Prescott. We usually have a pub lunch out. The more Morgans the merrier
