Hood change - Everflex to Mohair

Following several months of dithering I asked Allon White to fit a new hood and hood cover - and the result is very pleasing; many thanks to Shaun. Looks like a new car again. The previous hood (Everflex in Sand) was surprisingly worn for a 3-year old car. Very marked and with a Tenax fastener missing. The new hood is Chocolate Brown Mohair.

Looks very smart.

I've been wondering (pondering?) about changing mine as it is one area that lets the car down. You've confirmed the change for me!

Looks great. What is the actual colour of the paint and upholstery?

We considered Saddle tan leather and a chocolate hood for ours and now that I see what appears to be that combination I must say it does look good.

Those are precisely my colours. Body paint is Baby Blue.

I am not sure about less folds. Maybe its because it is new, but I find folding (and taking care of the Mohair) takes quite a lot longer than with Everflex. The dealer told me to make sure I fold it out of the frame (rather than trapping it in the frame), and then persuade the folds forwards over the top before packing it under the cover.

Just got back after 110 gloriously sunny miles through Cambridgeshire villages. Only downside was hitting a rabbit. Sitting bolt upright in shadow - and me driving into a low sun - I didn't see him until the last minute. Now to re-fix the front number plate. irked
