Dog in a Mog

300 mile round trip with my Border Collie, Ben.
Top down all the way, like you do.
Then on the way home, the light is beginning to fade as the evening sets in, and then about 30miles from home, a few spots of rain begin to splatter on us. Not much, but a little bit.
Ben sits up and looks at me as if to say..'well..are you going to do something about that?'
Oh ok Ben I say to him and at the next service station he sits there watching me faf about erecting the hood, pearing at me through the windscreen as if to say 'are you going to be long?'
Dogs eh... laugh2

Harry our Red Setter went in Rosie once and that was enough, after he would not go near her for about a year. Even now 2 years on if won't go near if the doors open I think it's the loud rumble. He's fine in a Landy or our Grand Vitara though.

Maggie is lovely, but just a bit big for the MOG.

Tried to add the photo in the post but failed. It's here. Need a bigger MOG for this DOG.

Glad you all enjoyed the snapshot. Ben is great company to have when i'm down at the boat on my own for the weekend. He not only puts a smile on my face but on everyone who see's or meets him.

I was traffic hopping now and again on the A17 in the tail end of the Bank Holiday traffic yesterday and I seemed to upset one or two drivers by nudging my way back into a (quite reasonable) gap in the line of traffic after a 'useful' overtake....you know the sort of situation...When the driver behind immediately decides to vent his frustration by driving right up to the rear bumper and generally being a dangerous nuisance. I noticed that when Ben sat up so he became clearly visible to the driver, (usually a bloke with his wife /girlfriend in the passenger seat) lips would move as if discussing the dog, the woman smiling first then the man would change his driving style and become less aggressive towards me. Good old Ben!

It amazes me how often he gets offered/given a sausage when i'm taking a travel break during a trip away. Truckers layby cafe up to a bar meal in a nice hotel, Ben seems to melt the hearts of everyone on route. In fact i'm beginning to feel a bit jealous of him...lol

Great pic of Ben. It's not only Mogs that are favoured by our canine companions- http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-beds-bucks-herts-27292594 Gerry.

Love the picture of Ben, our Border Collie Callie loves traveling in the cars, she sits up as though she is the Queen only she does not wave.

Not sure about my OES in a Moggy (seeing how I don't have one yet) but here he is in my smart Roady
Archie copilot

He loved it but laying across me while driving and knocking it out of gear wasn't exactly funny.

Although they do sort of make a natural fit with a Moggy

Something to do with the forum software Mark.
You can't add photos to posts within the thread of a photo section discussion, only in the initial post.
Lovely looking Red Setter BTW! smile

Yep...definately a bigger Mog needed there, Mark.
