Lovely dogs but IMHO notveryclever.com Not true we have had 3. Our current Harry is far from stupid, he is head strong and likes to do his own thing if you let him. He walks to heal off the lead, sits, lays down and come on command, leaves food until you let him have and so on. So it a big woof woof from Harry Harry

Not sure, probably looking at my wife or other dog (Dalmatian). Our house backs to a horse farm and she sits up stairs and looks out over their pastures. When the horses are out, she barks and wants to go out. She has several horse friends that she barks at and they fuss at her trough the fence.

Maggie looks a lot better after a getting a trim.
This is my third setter and none have been stupid.
The first I had was a field setter and probably the brightest dog I have ever met. The other two, both bench setters, were not as smart as the first, but certainly not dumb either.
Maggie is definitely food motivated and likes a good beer, now and again. With traits like that, how dumb could she be??
