A Birthday Adventure

It's my fathers 88th birthday today, so I asked him if he'd manage a trip out in the three wheeler & he jumped at the opportunity. It took a little light assistance to get him in & out, but I felt very privileged to be able to share such a golden moment with him.

Mum is a cancer survivor & now sadly housebound, but watched us leave through the window. I drove him on a circular route and he really enjoyed the trip, so we just had to stop & grab a photo or two and in ice cream. He wryly said he'd buy them but he couldn't get into his damned pocket as he was rammed in so tight!!

Happy Birthday, mate.

He certainly looks as if he enjoyed the ride. A great birthday treat.

Great story..nice photo!

I would have loved to have done something similar for/with my father. He always wanted a Morgan, but gave up the dream when he going through the practical family phase in life. It was his interest in them that rubbed off on me when I was a nipper. Just a pity my Morgan came along too late for me to share the enjoyment with my father.

He looks as happy as a pig in muck , just look at his face . No hat, gloves or coat one tough cookie. Long may you enjoy many more rides together. As for Dads paying he is to wise for his son and no doubt will just grin at you. Its payback time for all the money he spent on you as a lad. thumbs

What a great picture.
I have found one of the nicest things about Morgan ownership is being able to share the experience with family and friends. So many people have wanted to go for a ride and they are never disappointed.
It's great to see the photo and to hear the tale of your day.
We can all use his birthday as an excuse for a glass or two.

That is a fabulous picture Steve, and I suspect one you will treasure. It's good to see your Dad, and I suspect you too, in shirtsleeves, the temperature must have been just right?
