I thought your number plate seemed familiar. Your registration is only one figure different from that of my transit van which is CE-940-NT

Handling wise it is similar but is an easier ride and obviously at low speeds the power steering is a bonus. A different approach needed on accelerator control, +8 had loads of torque low down 1500rpm and you could be lazy with gear changes. The roadster has loads of torque and pulls well from low down in 3 & 4, but once it hits 4k rpm then it takes off like a bullet, and the engine flys up the revs, quick gear changes are a must, however having said that it is a lovely tourer, get on a nice road and it will cruise all day at 70 mph at 2000 rpm, and if you need a bit of oomph just pop it down a gear. The 6 speed box is lovely, nice easy short gear change and very positive. Seats are a big plus for me as I have a lower back injury from many years ago, and sitting straight legged in a fixed position on a long journey just does it in. We did 90 miles back from Williams and I did not even have to adjust the seat incline, which I suspect I would do on a longer journey. Not so keen on the pedal box, with the narrow foot well and the pedal box used it leaves nowhere to put your left foot, which I did realise upon the test drive. But that is quite minor, if it becomes an issue then I will look into a different pedal box set up. But not for a while.

So in summary I am very pleased and so far love it. Thanks for asking. cheers

Adrian, if you want even more comfort, you can easily slip an inflatable lumbar support in behind the lower back rest pad. I got one from Moss and it works a treat.
