I bought one on eBay from The Ukraine! I was thinking of installing it in my vintage trike, but in the end I bought an appropriate vintage clock at a MTWC auction (the south east group).

Any who fits the Mig clock though is worthy of respect as the case is an odd shape and the bezel not that thick; so ones cutting of the hole has to be very accurate.

You're not kidding Martyn, the hole is the shape of an upside down teddy bears head.

Yes, I bet that was quite a task to install. Fantastic clock, just right for the M3W - why did they bother with that useless digital device?

I recall reading that there was a period during the last "Cold War" when NATO was terrified that the Russians could gain instant air superiority with their old-tech MiGs by zapping all the far more sophisticated control systems in American/European combat aircraft and then sweeping to the Atlantic coast with their outdated tanks.

I have a vague memory of a North Korean or North Vietnamese pilot that defected with the then latest MIG. American aero engineers were astonished to find that it used steel in its airframe instead of expensive alloys. Much cheaper to make and faster to replace lost aircraft.

Fitted one to my Roadster last year. As you say Martyn.....not an easy aperture to cut....no room for any error. I made sure I could get a spare dash from the factory before I tried it!
