How was the Aero on the ring? I imagine it inspired a lot of confidence?

Living in a country next to Germany has it's downsides, as history shows. One of the upsides though is that the ring is just a three hour drive away.

It was great fun, although a bit nerve wrecking. I went on monday, a quiet day on the track. My first plan was to hire a little track prepared car (no track insurance on the morgan), but that became a dumb plan if you realised all the costs involved. Especially when you have Aero 8 keys burning in your pocket.

The Morgan suprised me (and people who drove behind me) on the track. The car was comfortable on the autobahn but really came alive on the ring. It earned all my respect. I will look into the tires swap with Toyo's, I have P zero's on the car now.

Didn't take any pics (just one : a pic of the sausage on my plate in the restaurant.) Same for the video; there's a picture/video ban on the nurburgring, if the marschalls see you taking footage, you risk a season ban.

I found these pictures on a Nurburgring forum (taken by Lars Junemann)

I'm allready planning my next trip and will bring my camera next time. Will document the whole trip, especially the sausages. woohoo

I took my Aero onto the track at the St Tropez event and after 6 hot laps with instruction from George (the Morgan Sturtza International GT3 Driver).... totally melt the tyres turning them into total blomonge!!!

20 mins later Jobo (the lead driver for the team) took Missprint out in the car and the tyres were still so hot he returned after a couple of laps stating he didn't want to burst the tyres!!

I'll be hinting for replacements me thinks!! Unbeleveable..

I presume you had the P zero's on your Aero, Cerealsurfer?
Didn't expect them to be that bad on a circuit. ooo

I found my pic from the sausage by the way!

I also have P Zeros on my car and my car did many laps at Le Luc at the hands of a number of great drivers, namely Jo-Bo, Jean-Pierre Jabouille and... oh ok two great drivers and me smile

My tyres had no such problems? Maybe its the age of the tyres?

Is this where I let people know how J-P Jabouille thought my car had been 'worked on/breathed on' as it handled and braked so well. OK where's my coat hide

Cheers

Boshly.. you have P-Zero Rosso Asymetrico.. which is a different tyre and much better IMHO (I've had both on cars)..

The stock tyre was pretty rubbish
