Just Getting Started
|
Steam in SW Colorado.
All taken on the Durango and Silverton RR once part of the Denver & Rio Grande Western RR. The first photo is of the 315 which belongs to our society, the DRHS. There are no roads in this part of the Animas Valley of which this is the High Line, and the only way in is by train or chopper.
The second is ex D&RGW 480 in the snow, the third is of some of the fantasic autumn colours we enjoy here and the 4th was taken from the top floor windows of our house. We chose the house carefully and SWMBO was gracious in agreeing after totally refusing a M3W in the family. Win some, lose some.
