Wonderful to see him behind the wheel,of such an iconic car. A couple of years ago he was so doddery at Prescott that I wondered if he would drive agin....he reversed into one car in the paddock (thereby increasing its value!) and crashed his BMW 328.

Jays, if that was the local charity day when he was taken up the hill in a Lagonda then I concur.
I think he had fallen a short while before the day and looked to be struggling.
Good to see him still up and about though.
Lady Moss enjoyed Prescott...Chardonnay whilst watching F1 in the bar!
Then a run up as passenger in one of the Bugattis.

It was a Cleeve Prior Rotary event probably three years ago. He was driving people up the hill for charity in some of the cars he use to compete in, a C Type and the 328. Went off in the latter with a young lad in the car...no one hurt but it brought our hill runs to an end for the day.
The year you mention I think was the following year and my abiding memory of his wife was that she was standing in front of my 4/4 as I queued up to go on the hill. She turned round, looked at the car, came over and said "I love your number plate and the cars nice too" ! Made my day!
Stirling was struggling that year...how he recovered from the fall down his lift shaft at his age I've no idea...shows what sheer determination he has. A great man and at all the Prescott events I've seen him at, he always seems to attract the girls!
