TOTH 15 - On the Road
I'm on my way south. New sat-nav took me by way of Ettrick then over the Kirkstone and Hardknott passes. Didn't know that Carlsberg made sat-navs.

BTW - anyone know who will have driven furthest to TOTH?? There are som pretty good contenders on here. They should do like they did at Mog 15 an award for the furthest travelled - great way to reward and encourage more Moggers to come.

You got lost on the way down?  Lost me? Never. And so long as the rush hour traffic isn't too bad on the Peripherique I'll be at Shelsley Walsh in plenty of time.

Love pictures, especially photo 3. It's not Hardknott Pass though. Maybe not, but it was taken about 300m east of the pass! No rain in the Lake District so maybe it's being able to see the backdrop that causes confusion. It was on the Struggle, we've driven that last sunday. Beautiful pictures, as ever! It has been raining here everyday from sunday on, since yesterday weather seems improving and today is sunny! Planning to drive the Hardtknott Pass today!

If you were east of the pass you'd be looking down towards Cockley Beck Bridge, Wrynose Bottom and The Duddon Valley. There wouldn't be a tarn in view. Picture 1 is the approach to The Struggle with the Kirkstone Pass Inn in the distance at the top of the pass. I can't place picture 2 but I'm pretty sure it's not anywhere on the Hardknott Pass road.

We had a little detour to the Lake District, starting from the most south part of Holland. Even tried some diesel in the Morgan during the travel, but that didn't workout well.....

Pics 1 & 4 are on the Struggle looking back up towards the Kirkstone Inn. 2 & 3 are on the Wrynose Pass while heading up towards the Hardknott Pass. In mitigation given my abilities both to not know where I am and to not worry about it, I reckon I was pretty close!
