Just Getting Started
Chateau Impney Hill Climb

Just back from this inaugural hill climb. We have had a great day, wandering around the paddock, watching from the start, the middle and the end of the hill climb course with ease because of the way the grounds had been so well laid out.
Even a heavy shower didn't make us feel like heading for the exit as we were having such a good time. Lots of Morgans parked up along one part of the perimeter fence courtesy of Mog Magazine. Good to meet up with some TM'ers too. We have all had a busy weekend!!
Morgan should really think about having a stand here if this becomes an annual event.

Dear Mintymog and Wirewheel,

Missed you at TOTH yesterday - and unlike you, could not make it to Chateau Impney.

Pleased you enjoyed the day.

Cheers

Fully agree Minty, we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thought the whole organisation was excellent, a great setting and facilities. Combined with TOTH it made a great weekend.
Another great display in the air from Rich Goodwin, he has certainly had a busy weekend too with two displays at the Chateau as well as Shelsley.
Highlight for me was standing beside The Beast of Turin in the paddock when they fired her up - sensational!

What a great weekend. Morgan keep TOTH the event of the year - the work that must go into it must be immense. Thanks to everyone involved.
I knew Chateau Impney were putting a lot of effort into their hill climb but was most impressed by how well organised it was and what a fine varied selection of cars they had assembled. It didn't look like a new event and hopefully it will become a regular fixture.
Best of all - on both days - was meeting and putting faces to names of TM-ers.
Only one year until we do it all again!

What an event, whoever organised this has skills that are out of this world. Absolutely stunning is not good enough to describe this event. A huge amount of effort and money has been put into this, I so so hope that it was financially viable and will be therefor repeated next year.

Got to agree Chat Imp was superb. I'd seen some of the entry list online, but wandering around the paddock was just unbelievable! About 6 ERAs, Bugattis, Frazer Nashes, Morgan 3Ws and a wonderful collection of Edwardian racers- including the fire breathing 'Beast of Turin'! Superb venue and really great facilities for spectators with free grandstand seating and about 4 big screens, following the action right through the course. My only minor gripe is that the programme, (although well produced with interesting features on some cars) could have had more information [ engine size, date of manufacture] about all the vehicles.

The meeting features on Midlands Today news this evening .

A very good report and featured a Morgan three wheeler as part of the action.

Mintymog great to meet you & Wirewheel and so many other TMers both today and yesterday at TOTH. It's made an amazing weekend. TM is is just. Fantastic at helping us to connect.

Yesterday was again so much fun and Chateau Impney was as others have said absolutely stunning in setting, professionalism of the organisation and immense number of stunning cars.. Really hope it is done again next year and becomes a calendar event for future years. Although the rain was heavy this morning it didn't put us off.

A big thanks to Mog Mag too for organising the pitch - I counted 55 Mogs parked up which was impressive. Also impressed tHat the two parking attendants told the two Lotus cars politely where to go when they tried to park in our line up. Go and buy a Morgan if you want to park with us! redcard
