ARP4: Photo's from a Heretic

A few snaps to illustrate a few choice changes to MMC's standard AR spec:

'Before' and 'After' photo's show what a difference contrasting seat piping makes and I hope you'll agree that the leather transmission tunnel and sills work well. (The sparco gear knob shown in the 'Before' photo has been swapped back to the standard black whilst I track down a decent chrome one.) The four pockets are kinda handy.

Side screens are now in matching leather, and bezels around the warning lights complement the rest of the instrumentation.

The extra toggle switches are for the heated seats.

Steering cowl and stalks are now chrome.

I've copied the idea of powder coating the rack in black.

Now I haven't got one of these but have looked longingly at the launch and development of the ARP4. The liberal use of spare bedroom carpet all over the interior did put me off but yours is very nice, not just the leather replacement but the contrasts. Your further attention to details has also improved the look (imho)especially the powder coated rack a great idea

Looks great, deffinite improvement, especially the seat piping.

But I still dont like the metal door cards or the sharp edged corners on the transmission tunnel top. I think I'd want to cover them in the same leather as the seats, or black powder coat. Or something....!!

Hi Peter - yes I know exactly what you mean. My initial plan was to pop leather on the doors and on top of transmission tunnel and do away with the metal effect completely - thereby making the car almost indistinguishable (internally at least) from a standard +4 and to give the car that luxurious cosy feel that only leather can provide. This said I've come to like the fact that the transmission, doors, and dash, all blend together to give these cars a distinct style - all seems to flow from one side of the car to the other. Now that I've added contrasting leather to the sills and tunnel I really quite like it.

Thanks to all for positive comments.
