I do like the rear alloy brake drums.` Are they the ones fitted to a Nissan 240 Z by any chance and if they are did you have to modify them? regards Tim

Hi Tim,
No looks like 240Z but with the right size and the holes at the right place. If you use 240Z drum you have to obstruct some holes and redrill some other. In addition you have to have it machined to have a correct rim. These ones are from Mac Donald Racing.

What is the Chassis finished with?

As you say, these look very much like the 'Alfin' drums. I recall that one of the dealers ( Techniques or Richard Thorne?) was offering these as a 'bolt -on' extra

If I am right, then they must have been modified in terms of the number of retaining bolt holes?

I've got Alfins on mine but they are a set of original Datsun/Nissan drums which I had modified

What make are the vented discs?

I fitted EBCs on mine and they got very rusted and pitted. I have now replaced them with AP Racing discs and find these much better

Hi,

When I got the car new in 2003 as the 35th went with the "anti rust option" the chassis was originally treated with a kind of black goo. This is probably efficient but every time I put my finger under the car I was black and gluey. So my Morgan dealer in Brussels retreated the underneath with 3M 08861 Body Shultz.

I know Peter Mulberry favours Hi-Spec calipers but as to the actual rotors, they might be EBCs- perhaps the 3GD model

I have EBC discs(rotors) on my Roadster.

Quote" EBC Turbo Groove and Spotty Discs are directional “LEFT and RIGHT” which is nearside and offside of your vehicle. The spotted pattern and the sweeping grooves should be pointing to the rear of the vehicle".

What puzzles me is that your discs seem to have the arc of dimples facing the opposite way to that recommnended by EBC for their discs. Is that right???

I don't believe it is EBC. If you look at my picture you will see that the disc is bolted on an alloy bell. This minimise the unsprung weight. Peter makes himself a lot of items, in general from a very good standard, but I don't know where his discs come from.
