Polished expansion tank bottle

This is a reply to Colin 's request ( originally posted under 'the Elephant's Trunk' thread) for some pictures of the polished exapansion tank bottle which I had fitted on my 4/4. I think these show it up OK?

Sorry if this causes confusion- technology and I don't mix that well once it goes beyond spanners!

Perhaps I could make two additional observations? One, if I was looking for performance upgrades per se I would have binned the Mog ( and its stablemate a TR -engined Plus 4 ) years ago Two, my major concern at the moment is with what might be termed build quality issues. We all know that some of the detailed stuff on the cars is pants and what I'm aiming to do is upgrade as many aspects of that as I can. I don't think it is unreasonable- or uneconomic- of the Factory to take on board the fact that there is a market out there for this. Whether they do this totally in - house or via an outside agency who Morgan owners have a great deal of faith in ( and I stress that last point) doesn't really matter. If you want proof, you have to look no further than what is in many ways the most iconic car of them all- The TR -engined Superpsorts. This was not built by the Factory but by LawrenceTune but people went for it because of CL's record. It also didn't involve owners who wanted a higher spec car in chasing their *rses off trying to put together performance/ quality upgrades. GLLHG
