Has a lot to Say!
Some more of the new Roadster Sport...

... Geneva Showcar, taken on André Koopmann´s "open workshop-day" last Saturday,
showcar kindly presented by FLAVING.

This specific car is a "one-of" only (& currently on offer for sale at Flaving, see http://www.morgan-flaving.de/index.php?id=441 for further informations) , the "series" Roadster Sport will have some changes versus the Geneva Showcar shown here:

- NO spare wheel (which is the 4/4 Sports 165/80-15 on THIS car here), equipped with the same rear panel than current 4/4 Sports (with the integrated brakelight etc., means no stoplight in Hoodrail too).

- 205/55-15 Tyres versus the 205/65-15 on THIS car

- will have the latest EURO 5 - 228(230?!)hp 3.0 engine

And, am sorry to say, but: notworthy
it sounds... well, how shall i tell you.... just "NOT" may hit the point best. But we all know how to make our babies "sound", even the rather "domesticated" 6 cylinder-cats....

By the way: on the very last photo i did NOT fall down because of lack of Roadster´s typical & so much adored "MORGAN"-sound but for fitting my latest "acoustic tailpipe" freshly delivered by LIBRANDS... speakno

I like the "Union Jack S(ports)" badge!
That would go nicely with my Sports Red Moggie wink
Just hope Morgan makes it available as an "accessory" winky

well, the fitted tires in series production will be of course 205/65 15" and it was the standard exhaust system to meet european standards. but it is quite easy to create some kind of impressive sound as we all know

Do you think they might consider putting the rev counter in the middle of the wheel on the production models !

Typical Morgan, bit like the number plate on the Aeromax, if I had paid all that money for a car I'd want the number plate fixed with something better than Meccano.

I think the latest dash is a mess anyway Jim. Traditional it may be but what a mess. frown2
Give me a matching speedo & revcounter behind the steering wheel any day. If I had the money to buy a new one, I would have to do something about that dash...........

Probably involving neoprene.... innocent

Hello "Mogstar" - thank you for the "update"! cheers

I´ve been told that series cars are supposed to wear 205/55-15 - but i believe the "65´s" will give better comfort... without excessive "wobbling" wink

We all know that the "regulated" sounds are rather poor... a pity, as the slash cut design will be liked by some customers as i believe.

Anyway: i think it´s a very clever way (& i know "you" are not completely innocent that MORGAN did it..) to serve customers needs.

Just mind Harley Davidson - based on a rather simple structured basic modelrange they keep on generating one "new" model after the other.. not the worst way to... innocent

Smiles - hi Jim!

Í seem to be "the lucky guy" (the ONLY 1 in this case?) whose rev counter is (well, ALMOST, very close to... well: let´s say: it IS..) centered properly. woohoo

Anyway: as very many Morganeers have customized dashboards in their cars earlier or later this problem is solvable (but MORGAN could fix SOME things (& mostly the very easy way!) properly without bending their character... ;)) (i for example ordered my clock as a spare part to mount it in a way i can read it & not beeing obstructed by the steering wheel... it´s just a question of some/few cm´s, but... doh )

But - let us all remain honest: would we all love our Marque & cars if they were as "streamlined & perfect" than most other 4-wheeled offers on current markets?! See....

cheers

I'd rather like a decent clock as part of std spec, more use than a rev counter, I just rev until the valves bounce then back off a tad...

G'day
In pic 6, why don't Morgan shape up and centralize the wheel in the arch? just a thought... doh
