Morgan factory Tour

SWMBO bought my a ticket for a Morgan Factory Tour for my birthday and we went up to Malvern this last weekend for a tour on Monday morning. I found it fascinating to see the craftsman actually hand-building the cars. And equally fascinating that they make the modern-technology Aero models alongside the Traditionals and the pedal cars.

In the reception area was a Plus Eight from the early 70's with drop-head-coupe bodywork that I thought was quite an interesting mix of the aggressive mechanics and genteel styling.

There's a few more photos on my PhotoBucket account: http://s656.photobucket.com/albums/uu281/Rosenquartz/Morgan%20Factory%20Tour/

Glad you enjoyed the factory visit - it is certainly a unique experience. Great photos.

I think the Plus 8 (JM 53) was run by Peter Morgan's first wife Jane, Charles' mother.

Beautiful photos...would you mind if I take prints of these and include them in a flip album I carry around in my car to explain to people the craftsmanship involved?

Lovely photos Neil. thumbs

I nearly always have a look at that Plus 8 when I visit the factory, as I love the suicide doors and that drophead look. notworthy It's an automatic too, if my memory serves me right? A real one-off and nice to see it preserved in the Morgan collection.

Great to see these photos - thank you for posting them. A tour is high on our list of things to do and I think it has now just moved to the top of the list !
