I'm replying under John's post for convenience but from what I read in the posts I wonder how much experience some of the posters have of Harley engines ( I'm OK here because I have had four of them plus a couple of Buells plus two Guzzis)
I really can't see why MMC have gone for the Harley lump on any grounds except a quick publicity fix.
It is not an efficient engine and to achieve he "screamin' eagle" output is well -nigh on impossible. Why the heck they haven't gone for a Guzzi engine with appropriate torque characteristics is beyond me. Equally, we've had a couple of posts about the jap engines. I have only one comment- take a look at the power curves and you'll see why they would never suit the three wheeler Morgan spec. If you doubt what I say, try any Megabusa engined car and you'll soon be disabused.

Glad to see MMC reappropriate his original model of the 3wheeler
Aero sports car, after a lot of replicas (Triking, JZR, ACE and others....).
IMHO the front-end design is similar to Triking, whereas the rear-end is more similar to JZR, or better to ACE ".
I Agree with GLLHG, a big Moto Guzzi V-Twin motorcycle is the right (easy and cheap) engine for this type of car, but probably commercial reasons (big american market) could lead to the HD engines.
Only wondered the purpose of a new Morgan Aero 3wheeler; thought even the achievement of the best results in a so very niche market could compensate some probable negative reactions of the old Morgans 3wheeler-cars owners and some unexpected effects on the old 3wheeler-cars quotation prices.

I think that the Morgan company are very brave in thinking and then putting into production their 3 wheeler.
It truly looks magnificent and a credit to the designer who finds himself in the 21 century.
Considering that the Vee engine is at the very front, and that legs only take up so much room....
It would be a golden opportunity to install an electric engine and become a "Green 3 wheeler" to boot?
The modern electric engines I presume dont take up much room and could be scaled down to suit the Morgan?
Do they need lots of extra space for ancillaries or extra fittings?
I dont know, but I wonder if they have thought about this avenue of propulsion?

A solar panel moulded to the shape of the rear topside would be unique, even colour coded to the car body.

Brembo brakes as used on racing motor cycles would give the car more appeal to the boy racers in this forum?

There was a lot of enthusiastic talk at the Devamog noggin last evening. All were very receptive to the (re)launch of the three-wheeler but lots of questions about the proposed Harley Davidson engine.

The exterior looks stunning for a retro of the old Morgan 3-Wheeler, but the interior is really not resembling at all. 6 nice round instruments in a wooden dashboard should be the minimum, so hopefully the pictures are not from the production model but from a prototype where quickly some instruments were installed? And finally....hopefully Charles is reading this.

Why? The early cars had little in the way of instrumentation...
