Graham thanks for the info:
(Not many automatic gearboxes on motorcycles Peter - though plenty on the scooter / commuter thingies. Shaft drive is listed on the specs.)

A friend has a new Honda and to my amazement it has an automatic gearbox, he just increases the revs on the twist grip and off he goes! It is so smooth, also when applying the brakes via the front leaver, it actually applies both front and rear at the same time. Makes for safe riding, just what the Morgan 3 wheeler will need.

Water temp gauge: thought that Harleys were water cooled, doh
How about a nice Vellocette or Scott engine, then the water gauge would be of use?
Remember the noddy bikes the police used to use back in the 60's? super quiet.
The new Morgan could be called the Morgan stealth 3........ woohoo

Wide bodies: Hmmmm , just leave the doors open a bit but with a safety rope as on racing bonnets. drive

The MMC need some lateral thinkers on its design team, any volunteers on here? carrot

Just out of curiosity, does England still have the same vehicle tax regulation that it is cheaper to tax 3 wheels than four?
Originally I think that was the reason for the making of 3 wheelers like Messerschmitts, Isettas and motor cycle and side cars!
So is this rule still applied? coffee

Nowadays the main reason to make 3-wheelers is that they are homologated as motor cycles. I don't believe that the road tax difference really matters. The important thing is that 3-wheelers do not need to meet the strict safety requirements of cars.

Road fund license rates are the same as motorcycles Peter.

The sales (car) tax I'm not sure about nowadays (car/bike), but certainly the advantage cyclecars below 7 cwt had many years ago was lost, long before I was born in the late 50's. May even be as early as the 30's. It'll be in a book on my bookshelf somewhere...

Cheers,
