The engine is apparently an S&S from S&S Cycles.

And, yes, it's belt drive (sounds like I know something, but the proof is in the pictures, plus I was told so in an email from Morgan Motors).

[edit: The gearbox is from Mazda, just in case you didn't know]

Yes, your's will probably be cheaper, but the Morgan will be all new and have seatbelts (lol).

With regards to RHD/LHD, MMC will make both, so you get to choose which one (depending on the laws in the country of registration, of course).

So if you need a RHD, that is what you will be getting. If you need the other, you'll get one of those.

Belt drive hub in the piccy.

I thought the original blurb said it was going to be shaft drive, single sided swingarm (anyone remember from the factory tour a few months back?)...

Cheers,

You are correct Sir. The question was how would the shaft fit with the wheel centered (or something like that) sherlock

Interesting Pics though. It will be a nice car I am sure. notworthy

So,
Who tried to add a photo to those already here? Not to worry, we know what the thread is.

Further photos have appeared on yfrog, which give a really good indication of how the rear end is put together.
Sure enough, no single sided swingarm. Shaft drive from the gearbox to the 90 degree gearbox you see here, with belt drive from that to the wheel. Adjusters for the rear axle to tension the belt (just like a m/cycle) can be seen and it all fits between 2 approx 4.5 gallon fuel tanks - hopefully with enough travel to drop the swingarm sufficiently to remove the axle when the rear wheel needs to come out. Rear tyre is a Toyo car type.

Anything else? Probably lots, but I'd really like to see this thing in the metal now. thumbs Wound the other half up by saying I'd bought another Mog (then let her see the Vitesse 1/43rd scale +8 on the dining room table laugh2 ). No doubt I'm still in trouble though swmbo laugh2

Cheers,
