To be honest, most of those cottages are now holiday homes, many are available to rent, it’s only fifteen minutes from my door, but even I quite fancy it. There are no amenities but believe it or not, it has 4G!

Whenever I have visitors I always take them Bay-hopping down the coast to all those villages..... As you say, Crovie is mostly cottages for holiday rent but Gamrie is still well populated... Have pals live there.... Have sailed in and out of most of them... There's some scary boat-eating rocks to negotiate to get to the pier at Crovie!! :-)

You’re right about the rocks, Keith, the wreck on the beach is testament to that, although with you’re track record, you’d class that as a fixer-upper! Here’s a shot I missed out: ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/02/02/E247FFB1-5E28-47A0-9EC8-1D76090C8862.jpg)

I know someone who lived there during the great storm of '53 (that really finished the village as a going fishing concern) ... She described the end windows smashed out, standing waist deep in seawater with all the furniture bobbing about... And the room full of panicked screeching seagulls sheltering from the storm... Sounds heaps of fun! :-)

Ewn thanks for the great photos of a part of Scotland I have yet to visit but now must. It keeps alive my NC500 in the Morgan dream. And starts another.. a week in one of those cottages, my pile of "to read" books, a good supply of food and whiskey and my best girlfriend - otherwise known as the wife. Scotland!
