Crovie and Gamrie, North East Scotland.

Cliff side fishing villages trapped in a time gone by. Crovie doesn’t even have any streets, just one road down and the rest accessible by foot or boat only.
The villages are about a mile apart, at low tide it’s safe to walk along the shore between them and return on the newly surface cliff top path.

There are no amenities but believe it or not, it has 4G!

As you say, Crovie is mostly cottages for holiday rent but Gamrie is still well populated... Have pals live there.... Have sailed in and out of most of them... There's some scary boat-eating rocks to negotiate to get to the pier at Crovie!! :-) K

She described the end windows smashed out, standing waist deep in seawater with all the furniture bobbing about... And the room full of panicked screeching seagulls sheltering from the storm... Sounds heaps of fun! :-) K
