New arrival in San Francisco. BRG and Alu.

700+ miles in the first three days, LA to SF and then my 100 mile round trip daily commute. My new daily driver is here!

Nice! I love the polished hood but hope it doesn't lead to glare.

So good to see a new Morgan in the USA.
How long is it since the last new trad Morgan was registered in the USA?

Well done Morgan and its US Distributors.

Congrats AudiMan

I had an opportunity to see your beautiful Morgan at MorganWesr,

Dennis hid the keys from me!

The Bonnet really looks spectacular in person, it is amazing, If anyone is fortunate to see AudioMans Morgan, it is Over-The-Top Nice,... you instantly just want to jump in it and drive! In fact, it looks like it can fly, just standing still... I know you are truly enjoying your Morgan as it turns heads.

I wonder when New Roadsters get to Seattle, 1,000 miles North of San Francisco.

I believe California is a state that requires a front plate..... btw nice car

Thanks to you all for the welcome.

It's been 11 months and 11k miles so far with a few "interesting" happenings.

Commuting at 85mph down 280 is a blast.

But some of the best fun is driving through downtown SF every morning, with the top down of course. Greeted by drivers in adjacent traffic lanes at the lights on average once a day, Fire Department (the driver of the BIG ladder, the one with the "Keep back 300ft" sign), Recology (BIG garbage truck), Limo drivers, a guy in a Ferrari, a Police Department Car (twice) and a PD motorcycle (once).

And people from the sidewalk, Hotel Doormen, Businessmen and women in the Financial District, a group of young guys hanging around a street corner "Nice wheels. How much", and cyclists.

It's impossible to drive this thing through the city without at least one conversation a day, along the lines of "What year?", "Is that a Morgan", etc. you know the drill.

On the "interesting" front:-

One morning got to the garage and the right side rear was completely flat, first time changing a wheel on a Morgan (the "marginal" jack, the 3ft long steel bar to remove spinner and a lump hammer required). "Flat" tire re-inflated, held air fine for a week, still don't know what caused it to go flat.

Developed a "clunk" from somewhere near the gearbox when lifting off at low speed. Gearbox oil changed to look for bits of metal, none found. Still clunks.

Developed an intermittent loud farting noise on acceleration or lift-off under load and low-medium revs. No idea what it is but it's under the bonnet, loud and intermittent. It has no (or absolutely minimal) effect on engine output and is more like a piece of plastic vibrating, think a piece of card in a bicycle wheel, but appears NOT to be linked to engine revs.

Since I do 50 miles at night on freeway and in the city I am thinking of getting these fitted when the car returns to Morgan West to get all the above things fixed.

Apparently some folks put them on 3 wheelers. I much prefer the traditional "piece of very hot wire" lights for prettiness, but there's just not enough actual light.

Oh the fun of owning a Morgan as the 100 miles a day daily driver.

And yes I do have a front plate. It's somewhere in the space behind the passenger seat ;-}
