THE DOORS
It seems that the external door handle delete option has died with the Trads. Here is my car about to leave the factory in 2015 (photo by JAYS). Who has the last Trad to be built without external door handles?

Gives a nice clean look (mine's halfway with a handle on the driver's side only) .....from a purely practical perspective, what does one's bodyguard hold onto whilst kneeling on the running-board with an Uzi in their other hand??  K

Like you I love the no-handles look of the door.
It is always a source of amusement for me , when stopped at a port , the security team look for the door handles in order to swab them. I explain that they are internal , which puzzles them no end.
After a few minutes of conversation we are usually ushered through and on our way.

No exterior door handles on my 2003 4/4 ‘poverty model’
Decreased weight and aerodynamically superior!
Also the source of childish amusement watching first time passengers, trying to work out how to open the door.

Ha! When I bought my car, it cost £90 or so extra. The extravagance was worth it for the elegant look and the amusement.

I used to have door handles. But when Richard Williams did some work for me I asked him not to have the door handles. Does anyone in MOG land actual use them? I've had the MOG since 2002 and I have never used them.

I actually had an MOT man try to fail my car because it had no door handle! He said it must have a means of opening from the outside incase of emergency? The fact that it had no roof seemed to totally missed on him  He actually went into his office and sat down and read the MOT guide book and "allowed" it to pass as it left that factory like that! Bazaar

I've had the MOG since 2002 and I have never used them. Yep, I use to use my +8 as a commuter car. Bit fiddly getting in it, in the dark, hood up, pouring with rain, overcoat and gloves on carrying a lap top without door handles. But TEHIO.
