Looks like someone has been overfilling their tool tray innocent Tempting I know if you have made a larger capacity one to replace OE which has just molded cut-outs for basic tools. I make a note to repack mine carefully so lid stays flush with surrounds.

Richard,
I have a design for a replacement tool tray in ali but for your car you will need to modify it slightly. There is a thread on it on here somewhere started by Frank 4x4.

Yes, but in return you get a much more useful slot to stow your side screens, tool roll etc - or to hold five days' touring stuff for two (males!)

I think that Dave could really go to town on this exercise. As well as above what about an enlarged pivot hole with a nylon insert such that the self tapper could be nipped up hard against it and so allow continued resistance to turning without having to regularly nip up screw innocent

Thanks John but got one already wink My own modification to an established design, and to suit the five link rear.

Very smart Richard. As always an elegant solution. Makes mine look like a bodge.
