Another Great Escape. Caister Motor Museum

Well we all had fun even if it was north of the border in Nawfolk. There was an interloper in a Mini and but then he had come from darkest Cheltenham plus one of the locals in a red Morgan.

I can highly recommend this museum for it's eclectic mix of items. Sadly most aren't driven regularly..

The weather was not kind . Some opted for hood up all the way there & back .They might have been right Hawki, Nickplus 4 & myself may have regretted the top down approach especially on the way home though my hair was washed.

Where to next week is the key question.

Fun fact - my father used to own the Bugatti in the Caister Motor Museum. He sold it in the 60's to buy the house he still lives in. The buyer kept it for less than a year before selling it the museum, where it has sat ever since. It's still pretty much exactly as it was when dad owned it, including the very tires he put on it.

An amazing bit of trivia. I remember the Bugatti well. I was amazed and how larger cc engine with a blower could fit into such a small car. Did your father own it long?

Great picture and stunning car a bit sad to see it on blocks though without even the possibility that it might move some day.
Certainly a place we'll try and visit when we come over visiting the relatives.

Had to send this to a cousin in Belfast who has been an RR fan since childhood and owns a Silver Wraith 2, amongst his car collection:
