Is my oil level too low ? (2019 M3W)
Evening gentlemen,
I'm now over the 3000 km mark and decided to have a look at the oil tank after today's drive and I'm not exactly sure if what I'm looking at is where it should be. My owner's manual mentions a dipstick to measure oil levels but mine doesn't have that.
Is my oil level too low ? If yes where should it stand.
EDIT: I found a small leak at the bottom of my crankcase from what seems to be a bad seal. Pictures attached.

did you start the motor and run it a few minutes. The sump needs to be pumped out first before you check it. there could be up to a quart in the sump. Once you have done that, the oil should be between the two indicators

I would add some oil.
There is space enough for it.
In my M3W I kept the level to cover the lower indicator

Car was driven just before I took this picture. I also found the reason why the oil level dropped it seems I have a small leak at the bottom of my crankcase (the seal I imagine).

Yes, you have a crankshaft oil seal leak by the look of it. If the engine has just been run for at least a few minutes, to scavenge the oil back to the tank, then the oil level is low. It should cover the lower level plate but not go above the higher (LH in photo) plate. Only check the level after a run, let it settle for a couple of minutes then check it. Checking it cold can give a false level.
