Morgan Plus 4 SuperSports Race Pack Details

Here are some detail photos of the Morgan Plus 4 SS details and the optional Race Pack. I chose not to have the Corbeau race seat fitted (I wanted a more vintage look), although I may amend this once I've tried the car on track if I feel I need more grip from the seat.

At the moment, I have removed the head rests on the drivers seat to allow it to slide back on the runners as far as possible. This means I can now fit in the car comfortably but it does (even with the headrest in place) mean my head is a little too close to the roll bar for comfort. In intend to fit some FIA padding to the bar because while my head isn't in contact with the bar whilst driving, I wouldn't like to come into contact with it should I have a shunt.

Some other points to note are that MMC built a cage for my fire extinguisher. Normally it is bolted to the floor, near the cross member but I asked if they could build a cage for it, so that the passengers feet don't come into contact with it. This does reduce the length of the passenger footwell but I rather like the look of it and it certainly makes for a clean job.

The plumbed in extinguisher is very tidy and, when armed, there are activation points both inside and outside the car.

I took a few photos of the roll bar as someone was asking about how they were mounted - I hope my photos help.

Lastly, belts! I asked for my car to come fitted with both the 4-point harnesses and road belts. I am already glad I've gone this route - it makes short journeys a pleasure, not having to go through the 'pilot' routine of belting up the harnesses (and when not in use they store behind the seats and are non invasive).

Any questions, just ask smile

Nice work. Far too exciting for us to be allowed it in France.

You Beauty! thumbs

Now I understand the odd comments elsewhere here!
You kept that quiet!

When are you going racing? And where?

BTW do both your time clocks work? Just checking as I know of one that only had one working clock...

Cheers,

I like really that! Sorry if I've missed the thread, is this purely for the track or will it be road registered?

Simon,

Very nice and I'm sure you'll find it worth the wait.

I hope will see a driving review soon.

Very nice, the cockpit looks great. I like the light wood and black dials set off by that black period steering wheel. The Supersport badge adds to the drama as does that black leather. The whole package looks quite exciting.

Looks wonderful, congratulations,

have register it for road use as well? How did you manage to get number 60, is it the last car built meaning that all are produced and ready for delivery.

Still waiting for mine, have the same colour but no race pack.
