I resemble that remark! It was a great day out, I only wish I could have stayed a while longer and had a chat with everyone, - I had already promised my wife I would take her to a concert by the Kings Chamber Orchestra at our church - a blast up the M40 got me home in good time despite torrential rain and forgetting I wasn't in the Defender when I hit the ford by Kenilworth Castle and the water went over the roof Sounds like a great day out. I lived in Kenilwoth between 1980 and 1990. Lovely little town, with some epic pubs (my own local being the Virgins and Castle) I used to take my lad to watch cars going through the ford if it was running a bit deep. . highly entertaining.

I've had the odd half of shandy in the ' V's ' - the ford still entertains, especially when you arrive after a night of heavy rain and find an Audi stranded in water up to the door handles
