Damn! I knew I should not have taken this any further,--- well done Holmes!  When did the badge colours change to Lighter Blue background and Red diagonal flash? And to the Thick Black ring around the 'Morgan' badge centre.

No no you're on the wrong track! In fact this badge is a design error or manufacturing because history does not say who was wrong! "The " Sports Car Club " badge Was a misprint from the mid 1970s" as our historian Herman POL says. It's also the version that I read on the internet about this badge "failure", not that much because there would be only 6 copies in total pre-production and making it probably the rarest. OK, you got us all with that one  . However, did the perpetrator of the error keep the dies so that more could be produced one day for any other avid collectors out there.? As DaveW usually mentions, watch out for one from the 'cowboy chasers' on Ebay.
