[start rant] Being in the digital/print media industry I had been an apple fan for years. I bought a G3 back in 1998 for a hefty lump sum, then when they quit supporting upgrades for those in 2003 I shelled out near $5k for a top of the line G5... until they quit supporting updates for that a couple years ago. Now I am running a custom built PC that costs a fraction of a new apple desktop, that out performes any available apple desktop, that I can upgrade indefinatly.
Apple has lost me as a customer, I have since only bought ipods second hand and I will not be buying into the hype of the iphone or ipad as my android device works as well at these functions as any of the compition.[/end rant]
