Glad to hear the recovery is going well G.
I had a cartilage problem (it seized) and the Mackie man ground the offending bits off and hoovered the junk out under microsurgery.
Had it have been NHS I'd still be in a chair waiting !
I walked out with with aid of a stick but building the muscle up again was uphill and took about 3 months but well worth it.

Funnily enough, I was very happy to go non- nhs but he wasn't happy to do it that way, so I had to wait. That having been said, I wasn't kept hanging around.
I hate GAs and they make me very sick ( anti- emetics notwithstanding) so I went for spinal block, no sedatives and watched it all on the telly!!

Had the added advantage that I could start some very basic static exercises about an hour after leaving theatre
Nothing if not OCD, me!!
