This "intelligence" led four of the UK Border Agency's finest spending three quarters of an hour searching three of us at the tunnel at Calais last year. They swore it wasn't a random pull and said they suspected us of smuggling tobacco. They seemed vaguely disappointed that we weren't over the guidelines.
