It does not involve any oil change (that happens after 12 months or 10,000 miles) and is mainly to check that all the nuts, bolts and screws are tight etc.

I bought my car direct from the factory but the first service was done by Borghi in Milan who did not charge me and told me that the first service was at the factory's expense. I have no idea if this is normal or universal, it may just be that I was too far away to return to the point of sale for the first service frown

On the topic of steering wheels Borghi make their own variation of wooden dash panels in different timbers and they replace the wood of the MotoLita wheels to match. The effect is fantastic. Their re-made riveted steering wheels are often made with thicker rims than the standard MotoLita wheel.

I will try to remember to take some photos the next time I go there.


My first service was free labour but I was charged for materials. The oil & filter were changed.
