Crikey! Is he allowed to comment on your age? As I understand it since October 2006, it has been unlawful for employers and others to discriminate against a person on the basis of his/her age;
note the catch-all "and others", and in my opinion (I am not a lawyer) it seems clear he was getting close to discriminating against you. With that in mind, you might like to cause him some anxiety
- or at least elicit an apology. I, too, use Gotte & Wynne and am very satisfied so far.
