I made one of these for my HD's fairing. The OEM version was right in my sight line AND blew air directly at my helmet.
So I made a pattern for a taller shield; the hardest part was working out the curves so it would be straight when bent around the top of the fairing. Then I had it cut and edge-polished, then drilled holes for the OEM mounting points. Not too bad.
For this one I think a pair of flat screens connected by something like a piano hinge, and then attached to a U-channel across the bottom. Quarter-inch Lexan would be pretty bullet-proof, but would scratch; Acrylic is more scratch-resistant, but not so able to stop rocks. Glass would be fragile.
If I made such a thing and got a vendor set up to laser-cut the screens, would anyone else want one?
Also, does anyone know the year of the trike in the picture?
