Unlike Paul, with me it's the Ammeter! Where's the reasoning?
The explanation I was told is that the factory has been using gauges for tin tops and not for open cars. Don't know whether that IS the reason but as I never had any problems like these with my other open cars it could make sense.
It all has to do with temperature changes and humidity. I presume there are different temperature zones behind the dash and therefore we see different results. Maybe some gauges are better vacuum sealed than others. After a 30 minutes drive everything is transparent again.
