I am confident that a Simmonds hood will not leak - period, BUT a Simmonds hood costs £2500 plus which is hard to justify when you expect the hood supplied with the car to be "Fit for Purpose" -- In fct, little needs to change with the hood - the crazy front flaps need to be sorted as per the Simmonds version and the sidescreens have to be fitted with a workable mechanism which stops them bowing out at speed and letting the rain in. Also needs a few foam bits(Thanks Dave W!!) and it works well

I can't understand why this can't be done by the factory - I have done so in a "Heath Robinson" manner with velcro and foam bits a workable solution would not be that difficult and would greatly add to the feeling of worth when getting a new car!!

Rant over -- I have actually had great fun devising all the little "Improvements" to my car, but I do feel a bit short-changed by the factory in that I had to do them to a new car. Now, if I had spent 80K or more even, I would not be a happy camper.

Cheers!
