thanks for the input, Simmonds did get back to me and as mentioned they confirmed it is a factory hood. I have now written to the French distributor where I purchased the car and will see if he can supply the parts as I am not sure I will be able to repair the locking plates as per the picture they are deformed, and the pins that fit in pop out when driving over a bumpy road.
