Sadly, it looks like I won't be able to collect the car on Saturday.
The reason is that we requested a Morgan script badge on the rear (at an angle, old style) and Morgan somehow got this wrong and fitted a Roadster badge at an angle - which just looks wrong. When we pointed this out Morgan said they would put it right - but there would be some difficulty due to the different size of the pin settings on the badges. John at Richard Thorne called me this morning to say he has looked at the badge and he is not happy with the quality of the work - there is a bit of hole showing in the corner which has been filled. John said he was sure that I would not be happy either - and he's right. He emailed a photo to Morgan and they have said they are not happy either (why it left the factory if they are unhappy I don't know). So the car will have to go back to Morgan for them to work on a solution - although how they can resolve it short of a body rebuild I don't know.
I would rather wait - even if it's a month - to get it right. This is an expensive car and it needs to be perfect.
