The Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden is extremely worth visiting.
I last went about 5 years ago on a flying day (check website, usually first Sunday in month in Summer). Some very rare and old planes fly, and if you are lucky with a low windspeed, you'll see the worlds oldest airworthy aeroplane, a 1910 Bleriot do a straight line hop.
To see several genuine WW1 planes in the air at once is a rare treat, and one wonders how much longer such things can be done.
I of course went in the trike - the organisers of a car show who shared the same entrance were most put out I wasn't interested!
