I find the door mounted mirrors useful for reversing into my garage and also, when the hood is up
In spite of my earlier remark about having some sympathy with no side mirrors and a glance over the shoulder, I must admit that you're right. Reversing into the garage is so much easier with round door mirrors. Also, it has occurred to me since - is it not illegal to drive without at least an OS door mirror? No doubt I will find out quickly if I am wrong...
