I got rid of the door mirrors altogether and rely on the centre one and a glance back.
I've got some sympathy with this view. Door-mounted mirrors were never a good idea. I blame Starsky & Hutch and Frank Cannon, and all those other early 1970s US shows where we first saw door mirrors. Whatever happened to good old
wing mirrors?
