Don't know what the problem is with a flat cap. I wear a Burberry wool flat cap in winter. If it is pulled well down it stays on at any speed allowed by my automatic speed control
In summer I have a lightweight drivers cap made by Borsalino. The side panels are a lightweight perforated leather. I really goes well with the Morgan. Only problem is that being lightweight the top flaps a little at high speed.
I would not mind a Aviation Leathercraft woolly flying helmet for the really cold weather but we do have two Morgan leather flying helmets.
