Its quite amazing at the rate at which luxury cars (and other luxury items) has grown over the last 10 years or so in China. When I first used to go there on business the only foreign cars you tended to see were the old type VW Passat (taxis) and the luxury car was the Buick. The last time I went a year ago the first car I saw as I came out of Pudong Airport was a Bentley and next door to the hotel I was staying at in central Shanghai was a Rolls Royce dealership. Chinese folk love designer Western goods. However with the air pollution in many industrialised areas of China I'm not sure I would like to drive top down  Fully agree - I first went to Guangzhou back in 2000 and it is a totally different city now in everyway as are many other cities I have visitied....
