As one who is a bit of a fan of 'modern' design (and of the F40!) I am biased but I think the LP400 Countach paved the way for the modern supercar. Yes, the Miura is beautiful, but it pays homage to shapes of the past. The Countach was truly otherworldly and the original shape is still to me barely believable.
